Every... single... one of those looks AMAZING!!! Again, I've never seen a UE, JH or Westone that looked as nice as those! I can't wait to get mine! Hoping to have them in a couple of weeks.

While crystal clear highly polished customs may look nicer, the slightly hazy finish of SLA'd customs are more precise. Of couse, even precision SLA's parts can require refits.

Strange that there is a single hole. Is it dual bore, and the hole is just the main cavity?

UM's build quality looks immaculate, though. But the real question is how do they sound?

This depends on the size of your ear canals! Some are just not big enough for two holes.

It is said that the sound quality won't suffer from this or at least not by a lot.

those do look very nice

yes please, more info on how they sound and what is inside, so we can confirm that JH still rules the world MaoDi, you have been misquoted in another thread as saying that the sound is clearly superior to JH, when it is obvious that you were only talking about the finish, since you have made no comment whatsoever regarding SQ. you gotta love this place sometimes

Actually sound quality does suffer with a single bore vs. dual bore.

That's why almost all JH13PROs have a single

Really? I never saw a single bore on JH13 Pro. Mine is surely a dual.

Check again. And look closer. The vast majority of JH13's have dual bores, with ear tubes all the way up into the opening.

The actual reason that there is a single hole on the Mage is because, UM has decided to go with dual bores that terminate into one. It just offers a wider coverage for peoples ears, as not everyone is able to accommodate dual bores all the way through.

yes sound quality does suffer from single and dual bore designs, but because it's a dual bore that terminates into one, they act as a dual bore but saves some room.
