guys i need more POWER (more CURRENT not more GAIN) to drive my AKG K271 MKII.

Low GAIN does not have enough volume, HIGH gain is ok but i feel it's missing something (the sound seems like flat and compressed).

I don't mind about power consumption because i will use it connected via usb always in charge.

Any solution?

If you are going to use Black Gates then I would get them soon as they haven't been made for a few years and stock is running out and nothing is like them or near as good. Hopefully something will come along but nothing is on the horizon right now.

this is one of the reasons Cesar no longer makes the Portaphile.  Lack of parts availabiity

I suggest reading the big D10 thread, there is a post by hiflight inked on page 1 that lists a large variety of opamps and their output power in milliwatts. the ones I use are not just drop in replacements and require soldering to an adapter. you can serch the thread for my modifications too, they are pretty involved and I made a long post on the matter so I didnt have to continue answering the same Q's
