Specific questions about the Sansa Clip+

How's the battery life when used with FLAC and a MicroSDHC? I remember seeing a test with the old Clip and it ran at around 9-ish hours with all FLAC, and the battery will only drain more with the inclusion of a MicroSDHC card. I don't plan on filling the whole player with FLAC, but I do have about 50% of my albums encoded as such.

What's the sound characteristic like? On a review from anythingbutipod, they stated that it is warmer than its predecessor. How warm when comparing to flat EQ's Sony Walkman? Will a Fiio E5 be necessary to give it a bass boost?

Thank you.

With FLAC alone, no card, minimal screen use, I get between 7 and 71/2 hours. I had it go down to zero a couple of times so that number is solid. The bar seems to drop off pretty quickly after the battery is at 50%, so beware.

I'd go along with the warmer characterization, but I have not done an A/B test.

Thank you, that sounds like it will suffice. With only half a library of FLAC, and the addition of a card, I hope to get 7-10 hours of playback.
