I just purchased a pair of Pro 900s I was wondering about a DAC and amp.
I am using my macbook pro as a source. I was thinking about going from optical out to a Little Dot DAC then the Little Dot Little Dot MK IV SE
Previously I was using a pair of Proline 650's going from the optical out to a fairly cheep sony home amp.
The detail was much better then directly from my computer. I was amazed at all the things I never heard before, but I wouldn't call it warm, which is what I want.
This would be my 1st tube amp. And I am just curious about opinions on this setup with the pro 900's. Is a DAC necessary what does it do for the sound quality?
