Chord is definitely long. You'd have to be of HUGE to have any issues as I'm 6' and have over a foot of length to play with. For me the microphonics is there but very light and I don't hear it when music is playing.

The S4 is an awesome set of phones; well worth the money and extremely comfortable for everyday, all-day use. You gotta cook them, though. For me, they started getting righteous at ~40 hours. Others say around 100.
