Well i hope this is the last page...
Final thoughts:
HD 600 (an amp is coming soon ) ***Are they Any GOOD without an Amp, say with a Zune HD playing Lossless WMA?
People replied to this before but i think they were subjective.

Or HD 25-SP II / 25-1 II DJ(are this worth extra 50$? ) i like the others because they are simpler...

Can only speak for the HD´s...... The SP´s are basically the same except for a different headband design and slightly inferior performance. The mkII´s use a shorter, steel cable and for the extra money you also get a carry bag, velour pads and a jack adapter. I have a reasonably small head so I wear mine without opening the headband, but I´ve tried it and it clamps nice and tight.... if I ever need that for walking etc. I´ve mostly used around ear phones but so far I´ve found these very comfortable during long hours, while I edit video and during gaming sessions. The fact my ears aren´t too large either, helps. I´ve been using the pleather pads and they´ve been fine but I´m now going to try out the velour ones to see the difference.

Before these I had owned a pair of Sony´s, the Steel Series SiberiaV2´s and recently the Siberia Neckband. They all died on me in the same way, so now I decided to go for something stronger and having replaceable parts was a MUST. Plus, the sound on the HD´s is from another planet compared to all those.

by HD you mean the 25-1 II DJ right?

This was going to be the next question: Does it hurt that it applies force directly on the ear?
I think its hugely more confortable when its around ear.

And even if it sounds crazy..Does it deform your ear, because ill use it ~1-2Hrs a day on medium

If you arent interested in getting an amplifier, I'd look at Audio Technica Headphones like A700/A900 or AD700, or the Denon D2000. These offer good sound, solid bass and can run off anything and still sound good.

I'd go with a DT770 without blinking if there was an amp involved but straight off a laptop, its not gonna sound all that great.
With my computer's sound card the volume is not high enough, maybe yours is better. I mean yeah it's possible to use the headphone unamped, but it sounds bad. That's why I said they require an amp. I guess if you just want the satisfaction of owning $400 brand-name headphones, you could buy them without an amp, but I don't see the point otherwise.

Yes, I mean those, they are both DJ headphones.

I think how they feel depends on the size and sensitivity of ones ears. Mine are normal size and not that sensitive, at least that I´m aware of. On average, the around ears are more comfortable, but all I can say is that I´ve been wearing mine all day (8+ hrs) as I don´t use loudspeakers on my pc, and haven´t noticed any discomfort at all. After using around´s for many years I was pleasantly suprised these immediately felt so good, but I think the fact they are so light has something to do with it. Heavier on ears probably wouldn´t be so comfortable. So far I´ve used the plastic pads and after many hours I´ve noticed my ears start to sweat but only marginally. Again, maybe that´s different for each person. I´m going to change to the velour pads to see how they feel as they transpire better than the plastic/fake leather ones. For the amount of time you say you´ll use them, I doubt they´ll be a problem at all, much less deform your ear!

I have the hd25 II great cans, no it wont deform your ear (it doesnt squash my head and i'm not a small fella) the non SP version is worth 100% the extra cash imho.
These cans are great for sound on the go and at home.
They saved my life during a 12 h flight when the baby behind me decided to start singing as soon at the plane's took off (yes I wore them nearly 12h straight slept with them too).
Unless you become a pro gamer and in the top 10 at cs the reduced soundstage shouldn't bother especially if you've never had great cans before.
And wireless headphones are still a bad idea if you looking for a good sound/value ration.
