I think my Modded BC DAC2 is on the fritz.. When I use it with my 5900 or PS3, I get a very low volume through my headphone amp.. I use optical to my receiver & 5900 & have no problem.. Same with my PS3.. & used analog with my headphone amp to my 5900 without a hitch.. Works perfectly. I'd like a knowledgeable DIYer to take a look at it. I prefer to drive to the location & watch what is happening as a learning experience. The original modder, is a bit timid, & is afraid he might damage it more, that's why I'm posting this here. The original problem was audio drop out in the right channel, now this. I would be willing to pay for the materiel used & for your time.. I am also willing to ship to any DIYER with a excellent rep.. Will pay for shipping both ways & material if needed.

Damn sounds ideal... I work the best when dudes are watching me work. Unfortunately I loaned out my soldering iron to a friend in need and probably won't get it back for at least a couple of months.

If it's just a matter of resoldering the connectors, that's easy enough. Just bring me a six pack of beer and we'll call it even. I'm in SF though. Not sure if you want to drive all the way up here. PM me if you're interested.

Any more locals? Should be just a resoder job.. Never sodered before, nor have any technical experience.. That's why I'm asking.. If it is just a simple soder job, I'd be willing to pay for your time.. & close by.. San Jose, Milpitas, Mountain view, sunnyvale, fremont.
