Cowon S9, compatible with Itunes? (time crunch answer request) If not, what should i use???

Hi all,
I need a new pmp, and i am really liking the cowon S9. My newb issue; all my music is in my Itunes library. I know itunes has removed the drm protection, (which wouldnt really matter 4/5ths of my library was ripped from my cds.
Its not a massive collection, and it is encoded 256, with variable bit rate. Is there a way to use a cowon s9 with my itunes library?
If not, i would have to start with another program correct? If so, any general recommendations? I was thinking of upping the encoding to 392 (not sure if thats right), i just dont have too much time to do it in. I deploy in ten days, and have plenty of other things to do besides rip cds!!! I know i should have thought of it earlier, but i was looking at the ipod nano 5th gen vs the cowon, and the cowon is so much nicer, and damn near the same price.
Thanks for the Help!!!

Of course, going with the Nano will be the easiest method and it has plenty of fans.

If you want to go with the Cowon, you have to convert them to MP3.

PRETTY sure you can use dBpoweramp: CD Ripper & Audio Converter. Secure ripping to mp3, FLAC, m4a, Apple Lossless & WMA and then use a media player like Mediamonkey or Foobar (both of which might be able to do the conversion also).

I don't have any AAC tracks on my S9, but several on the iAudiophile forums say they have no trouble playing AAC audio tracks on their S9 (a few even claim it works in video files).

If you can wait, I can probably test it out tomorrow to see if it's true.

you can always drag and drop from itunes to your s9 directly, and if cowon support tagging properly, then you will get everything in separate albums and in proper order. just have a finder/explorer window open for the s9 and drag whatever you want into it. i did this with my d2

The S9 doesn't support AAC audio files (.m4a). I just tried this myself, to confirm. It doesn't even see the file, and renaming it to .mp3 allows me to run it, but then it shows up as an invalid file format.

In the iaudiophile forumes, there's been chatter about AAC audio working within videos. But I haven't seen anything about AAC audio files working.
