List your top 5 Blue Note jazz recordings - Page 2

Besides the classic stuff, my fave by a living musician is:

Jason Moran - Black Stars.

Piano trio that encompasses the whole of jazz, with a strong nod towards Jaki Byard and Andrew Hill, plus a disgustingly good Sam Rivers on tenor throughout. Buy it now. Or sooner.

Isn't Sam almost always disgustingly good?

There was a reissue of his BN albums that included an unreleased Andrew Hill album with song titles named after emotions. A must. I'll be looking for that Jason Moran album.

Nice to see Pullen/Adams mentioned too.
