Rage and QTSA. Great picks. I need to get the Rage catalog on vinyl. Some of my favorite music.

I shouldn't have looked at this. I love that rage against the machine album. But I never really figured it as an "audiophile album" (only heard the CD cut). I head over to groove shark to take a listen to War within a Breath. There I see one version that says "vinyl" after the album name. I give it a listen. "It sounds kinda flat.... where's the bass... (first verse starts) OH MY GOD THAT SOUNDS GLORIOUS". Suddenly I get vinyl, its not the media itself so much a the way its mastered. My wallet hates you.

Hahaha yeah...

Many a times I come out less 100's of dollars. Rage Re-Issued their entire Catalouge on 180-Gram audiophile discs sooo good.

That Gorillaz LP is pretty significant, too. Cost me a pretty penny...just got it cleaned. That's going on next. :)

I love when set-ups are simple.

So do I. I've become extremely fond of that typical 'hi-fi' simple system look. 2 - 3 shelves. Low to the ground, etc. It just looks nice.

Plus I'm going to try and get away with no digital source as long as possible. There's something to this analog thing.

Also, since I know you revoked my Metal card a few weeks ago I'll have you know I'm listening to Gojira right now. Probably my favorite thing I've listened to on this rig yet.

My significant purchase was the Grado SR125i's,

The others are recently acquired, but equally significant is the Koss H/V pro's and the Technics EQ. I just replaced that Panasonic A/V receiver with a Technics one also.
They don't make those anymore ^_^

Sorry, could not add text into the post above and then could not edit it.

Purchase: Fujifilm X-Pro 1

Reason: I don't like to carry large/heavy DSLR cameras around other than for work so got this to replace my rather unused film camera, a Canon P. I use LTM and M lenses, including this mint Nikkor 10,5cm/f2,0 PC lens.

Fujifilm X-Pro 1 with LTM Nikkor 10,5cm/2,5 PC

I'm sure in all it's look of clean simplicity there are lots of little details in the cords, cables and stands. Not to mention phono-stages, power conditioning and rack leveling.wink.gif
