What amps are 'gold for grados'?

A simple search would have yielded many good results for you

Of course, the prerequisite questions: budget? desktop real estate?

General consensus is Grados pair best with tube amps. Especially for the MS2i with its aggressive treble you're going to want to warm that up a bit. Of course, the Maple Tree Audio EAR+ comes in mind.

Thanks Xan7hos. I will look into the Maple Tree.

I have a 'Magumn Enhanced' MS2i on the way from Canada. Supposedly the enhancement tames the stock trebble a bit. Perhaps it would be best to hear the phone first through my regular gear.

I had my eye on the Elekit TU882. It's thread paints quite a good picture.

Budget is kind of open, with the caveat that I assume it would be relatively easy to power Grados to their full potential without going over $700 or so.

Desktop real estate: the smaller the better. However, I have a Stax T1W on the desk, which may go, depending on how the new phones perform - and that's kinda big.

Cheers!

Seconded, the MAD Ear+ has way more synergy with MS-1/2/Pro/RS-1 than my Dynahi
