Hi guys I just built the very reliable Harry Haller Passive preamp. But I have an issue and don't know how to really proceed. I wanted to connect my California Audio Labs DX2 CDP but when I did I had almost no output thru the amp. The passive pre uses a 100K audio taper pot and a 11K resistor. The passive works for the reel to reel deck and few other things no issues. Come to find out the DX2 only has 2.3Volts output making it borderline for a passive pre from what I read. My question is could I change the resistor out or a combo of pot and resistor to make this work. If I need to I will simply build another passive pre with the pot and resistor or resistor combo I need to make it work. Any help appreciated.
