Teclast T51 - Page 55

I am only making a guess here but I think that main reason for MP4NAtion to stop carrying S:flo2 is because Teclast has stopped the production run for T51 in anticipation of the upcoming T59. This is what Teclast usually do to clean stock so most T51 that are still floating in the market right now are likely to be overstock items.

Also, T51 and S:flo2 are the same device. The only difference between them is the silkscreen printing on the back.

And the fact that the SFlo2 came up to 16GBs (I would have one honestly if they could have gotten me a properly working unit...) Although the T59 isn't released yet, if its as big as they are boasting then I'll pass. I don't care for video whatsoever, audio is what I want and if they could have fixed the UI issues in the T51 and added buttons instead, possibly improved battery life, etc then I'd be all game. I think Hisound is really onto something though with the battery saving technology. Hifiman and Telcast could learn from this and I bet greatly improve battery life on their daps.

turokrocks, unfortunately I can not bring you the photos of the insides of my T51 because it's still on warranty and I'm gonna try send it back...

My Blue-Screen T51 (2.3 firmware) RMAA measurements : http://rmaa.hostei.com/

And by the way, 2.2 firmware have brought same bad results, so, it doesn't seem like a firmware issue...

From the final results I do suspect the must be a fake OPA2604 in my unit...

But I can give you my RMAA measurements : http://rmaa.hostei.com/

lol Alex I hope its not on RMA because you broke it opening it up? That would be like that turd of a troll who broke his Sflo2 opening up trying to mod it himself and then lying to claim warranty support :p. Then again the reliability on these DAPs seems to be very low. Hopefully the Studio-V won't disappoint (although it looks like a tank compared to the T51).

T51 Flash-light applied.     T51 No-Flash applied.jpg

Here are the photoes. From the left - Flashed photo, from the right, no flash applied.

Yes. I did have checked your photos. That is why I had constantly mentioned that my T51 is the Blue-Screen one...

I have no hardware visible defects, besides of the highly distorted sound that is clearly not the one you've been all talking about. There is so much treble energy that I can hardly hear any bass on my Gr07 earphones.

YES, you are right, don't know what to tell mate, better luck in you next purchase, if you would take my advice, wait for the Ibasso, hoping it will be reasonably priced.

All I can say is stay away from ownta (owned.com) and get a T51 from house of DAP. The screen does look peculiar.

But I got both my T51 from ownta.com, and both have the gray and same internals, so what does this means?

AlexRoma  what is the date of production of your T51, it is the small white note with a stamp and a date and some Chinese written on it, that came in the box

Well it could be a defective batch then... The fact that they are no longer producing them due to the T59 really doesn't make me confident in even considering the T51 as an option anymore.
