Teclast T51 - Page 28

Hello all,

I have a question about saving music to the external micro disc drive? I use Media Monkey. How do I save to the drive instead of he on board flash memory?

Hi, thinking of getting the t51 from ownta.com

I see they offer TF memory card. What type of memory card does the t51 uses? Should i get the TF memory card from ownta.com or buy my own memory card from renowned brands etc kingston.

Anyone know of a guide/pics/video how to disassemble the T51, just if I need to change the battery (I want to be prepared in case...)

Latest firmware so unlikely to be an old batch, tried paperclip in the 'reset' opening - just stuck on the same garbled video screen it went into when I put it on the charger last night. I'll wait till the battery dies then try recharging it - who knows ? - but I wont be wasting any more cash on Teclast.

Its a shame - such a massive improvement in SQ over consumer-grade DAPs, but clearly the latter still have a few tricks up their sleeves. Not hard to see why Apple sell so many iPods. I'll give HiFiMan a shot in a few weeks time, but if that doesnt work out I'm leaving the 'Proudly Designed in China' DAPs behind.

You do know there are 2 reset buttons on the T51? You have to press both in with 2 paper clips and that should allow you to reset the player. If not you will have to resort to opening up the device and hard resetting it.

You mean hard reset? My friend wasn't able to reset his Sflo2 with the 2 pin holes so he ended up opening up the device and pressed a button inside that allowed him to reset it. He also found a bunch of saw dust in the unit and cleaned it out. He was wondering what they were doing in the sweat shops ;)

I just left it till the battery died, recharged it and it worked again. This has happened twice now - my 6G Nano have never missed a beat, even after iOS upgrades, and it has been hammered in some truly godforsaken parts of the world. Need to put the T51 sound into *that* casing, with iOS, and you'd have a winner.

Apple , they think different . I used to take my 6G nano to the gym, it was hit by the dumbbells more then once, and its still working! at least we can dream.

Yesterday, I was looking into my old stuff and found my J3, I connected it to my Beyer.1350 and started listing (Rapture by IIo), but I could not continue for I really felt the difference from my T51, its that huge that I felt the music on it ..lifeless and soulless. I thought I could go back to my J3 and enjoy it for some time, but I could not. We got spoiled by T51, I wish my J3 (amloed screen , 55 hour battery "tested"  , weight...) was somehow close to T51 in sound wise, but alas , at least the X29 is coming and I have big hopes for this one, lets hope Teclast don't F#$@K it again this time!

This player is such a joke!, What is the deal with turning it on. I hold the button down and it does not turn on after several attempts it finally turns on. Do I need to do a reset? This is my T51, my first stopped working the first day I got it??? Do not even get me started on the crazy battery:(

They got you too, eh ?   biggrin.gif

When I first heard the fantastic sound that comes out of it, then glanced at my invoice, I thought 'OK, this is going to bite me sooner or later'.  I guess we got what we paid for, Amigo.

With such trinkets as these, you have to learn patience or you'll end up destroying the music experience. There were so many times I was tempted to chuck my Sflo2 off the Pali. Even the 601 is kinda slow (wonder what the new Rockbox will do for it though? :).
