I wonder if they took the opportunity to sack the VP in charge of more loudness?

Very sad. They are a great reissue label. I hope they find a way to survive.

They story I got is that the company is transitioning, shifting its focus from CDs to international digital rights and distribution. I guess the CD is going the way of cassettes and the 8-track tape.

That's a shame. Rhino has reissued many excellent discs and I was hoping they would continue to well into the future.

I hope they pull through. I have their Joy Division - Heart and Soul box set and it was mastered and put together very well.

Rhino was a great company. They should have never fired the people who cared to begin with. Once they did that, the company went downhill. Can't say I'm surprised.

Still, I really liked their reissues.

I read on the SH Forum that it had closed down completely, so it's not as bad as I thought. When I was checking there website for news I noticed there was a few reissues I wouldn't mind in my collection. I will be buying my next LPs from them in a show of support. Hope they pull through.

Yep, the last few I purchased form them, were pretty bad. Stiil, hate to see them downsize and hope for more nice boxed sets.
