Just wanted to chime in and say that the linked thread above was my FS thread which Coldkeith is using as reference. This unit was my 1st DAC ever and it was a beauty. Coldkeith bought the unit from me not too long ago.
This is truly an outstanding unit, especially if you are looking for a linestage as well, not to mention that it is priced very generously.
If you are considering a DAC, you might want to pick this up. I used to have a portable rig prior to my purchase of this very DAC, and it became my gateway drug to full-size rigs. So much so that I don't even have a portable rig anymore.
Since then, I moved higher up in the DAC chain because I wanted to go balanced. If the monarchy M24 had those, I would have surely kept it.
Btw, Monarchy Audio released the NM24 afterwards, which was a hybrid solidstate/tube DAC. Most reviews will reveal that the M24's sound signature is slightly preferred over the newer model.
