I have listened to the following models: SR-225, MS-1, RS-2, RS-1, MS-Pro, HF-2

HF-2 is the least bright of the bunch
RS-2
MS-1
SR-225
MS-Pro
RS-1 is the brightest of the bunch

I found the best way to kill the highs is to get a dac that's a bit more dark in sound. I paired my 125s with my Keces 151 dac and they seem to have meshed perfectly. Otherwise, I'd say the "bright" signature of Grado's is what makes them special. Maybe you should look into getting a different brand?
