FS: DAHLQUIST DQM 9c full range speakers

Updated with new poly caps less than a year ago. Been stored for 6 months since. All internal connections were re-soldered at that time with cardas silver solder. Following new cap install an opening up of the already impressive soundstage was experienced as was better control across the board. These are the best that Dahlquist ever produced. 1st owner all drivers are in top shape. The sound is first rate you'd have to drop at least ten times the asking price to approach the sound. If your looking to add speakers or want to build a high-end sounding first system these cant be beat. Looking for local pick-up in the new york area but will ship at buyers expense. Price is open to suggestion starting at 400.00 cash, check, pay pal (fees included). In brooklyn new york... selling to finance rebuild of their bigger brother DQM 9.Talked with guys at Regnar (former Dahlquist engineers) Joe said that the DQM9c offers a "low end that the DQ20 and DQ12 can't touch". They also have greater extension in the highs. And that while the 8" woofer in the 9c can't go as low as the 11" woofer in the 9 the 9c has a punchy-ness and control that an 11" woofer can't be expected to have. No other pair out there, on craigs list or ebay or any other site is offered with the cap upgrade and after 20 years the old caps start to leak and lose their values, totally messing with the sound the speakers out-put. Stevie Wonder and Billy Idol listen through these, why not you?

My dad has these speakers (he got them in like 85) and they are f**** awesome. I have owned the DQ-10 but still always preferred these over them easily.

Yeah I'll be sad to see them go. But am so excited to hear the DQM-9s again. The woofers are being totally rebuilt, new voice coil, new cone everything but the cast aluminum basket. If the 9c's sell I think i'll get the new poly caps for 9s as well and have a brand new pair of fantastic speakers. SOMEONE SNATCH THESE UP! they wont collect any dust but shouldn't be allowed to not get listened to.

You can not beat the sound for this price. ALL NEW POLY CAPS. set at new levels that regnar found to open up the sound, better bass control, better extension in the highs.
some one in new york must want some great speakers!

Reduction in price. now looking for 400. These go for that without the new caps.And the new caps make these new/better speakers
