Clip or iaudio 7

Hi,

I'm in the market for a MP3 player. I dont need to play video - I just want a good sounding Mp3 player. The clip or clip + is small and does what I need yet the iaudio is supposed to have better audio and has a much longer battery life and I higher price.

Is it worth paying the extra for the iaudio - realistically I'm unlikely to need 60hrs battery life as I would generally use it while walking or commuting.

A lot of people actually prefer the Clip's sound over the iaudio7, so it's your call.

Feature-wise it's hard to say which one really wins. They're even in so many different aspects, which I won't go into here.

My opinion on one thing though: If you want to keep using the player for years and years, go for one with a larger battery. I think in real life you'll get better longevity out of it. That's because smaller battery or shorter life means you have to recharge more often, hit full or empty more often, both of these can lead the battery to decline faster. I also suspect at the end of the battery's life cycles, a larger battery would provide more useful power.
