Gear list updated

If anyone has a newer Portaphile V2 maxxed... I'd like to hear it with my HiFiMan. I have the original V2^2 maxxed, but the newer ones are more lively. I really like this combination, but think it might be better with a newer Portaphile. In case you're curious, I don't care much for ANY long-life portable amp, and the one inside the HiFiMan is no exception. But this combination is snappy!

And... Who removed the porta-bomber rig from my sig?

My 801 will definitely make an appearance,. Also my HE-5s will be being pushed by a Luxman P-1 or a Raptor (your choice).
I'm sure Fang will have another pair there tethered to a modified EF-1 (perhaps the EF-5 by that point).

Hey Wayne, I hope you were planning on staying at the Biker household.
Telica has already started cooking for you and Ray.

I believe that it is a RCA cleartop, stock op-amp.
As far as comparing it to the 800's, the 800's have the HE-5's beat in the detail department and they are more comfortable to wear. I have worn the HE-'s for hours with not one complaint, but the 800's are a little more comfortable.. Everything else I would give the nod to the HE-5's.

They are not $1000 less. Even though the 5's MSRP is going to be $7-800, I'm sure that early adopters will save a lot of money. It seems to be the Head-Direct way. I'm thinking $5-600. What will be really worth it, is if Fang comes out with a packaged price for the HE-5 and EF-5 combo. That's where the savings will come in.

Hey, that sounds good to me, assuming I can muffle the sound of Ray's snoring! I'll send you my flight info by PM, but I'm coming into JFK so I'll probably rent a car. I'll actually be there on the weekend of Nov 6-8 as well as from Nov 12-16, with a trip to Monaco in between.

Amps, StyleAudio Topaz, Firestone FireyeII, custom mini3.

Also will be toting along a macbook pro for a source, and some new nucleotide cables/LOD.

Also, there MIGHT be an RSA Shadow making an appearance if I can't resist the lure of the preorder thread!

I need to stop buying/selling stuff and changing my gear list.
