I'll be there.

I'm working on the old PS3 SACD idea, trying to get SACD rips downtranslated to LPCM 176.4 (instead of 88.2, which I can do now) by using a device (from China) which spoofs the HDCP on HDMI 1.3b and outputs S/PDIF on coax (so the idea is you turn off DSD in the PS3 menu, and the rumor is that old PS3's will downconvert to 176.4, something no other device does). If it works, I'll bring it, and hopefully a DAC that can handle 176.4 (otherwise how will we listen)?

If I fail, which is the smart money bet, I'll bring something else (probably equally misguided, like a vintage SS speaker AMP/HP out with a tube pre-amp in front).

I added the attendees to the first post. There are a few people who said they would attend in the interest check thread that have not posted here yet. I don't want to assume anything so I'll wait until they post to add them to the list. (You know who you are! )

That sounds pretty darn cool. I believe my Bryston BDA-1 can handle 176.4, so I'll try to bring it (if I still have it by then!).

I updated the attendees. Ray Samuels also said he could make it so we should be able to hear the new Shadow and for those who haven't heard it yet, the Thunderbolt probably, as well.
