Hi,

can you please help me choose from the two ? They should be jugded for comfort and music reproduction. I mostly listen to trance, house, classics, pop, all type of music but not rock and hard rock ecc.

thanks

are you joking?
TF10 is comparable with UM3, not with UM1
TF10 with Comply is the way to go, or a UM3

yeah, you are putting westone's lowest end versus ue's top of the line. comfort and cable quality though are in westone's favour!

How much are you looking to spend?

an odd two to compare

This is likely going to be the most lopsided poll ever.

comfort ill have to give to the um1 but for reproduction, you're comparing a set of earphones that cost about 4x as much as another. Id certainly hope that the tf10 would win in reproduction.

lol tf10 pwnz the um1 out of the water.

Haha...the TF10 will absolutely annihilate the UM1. The UM1 is an entry level IEM, while the TF10 is one of the top universal-fit IEM's. So clearly its not a fair comparison, and the two won't even fall in the same price bracket (and if they somehow do for you, then its a no-brainer...get the TF10).

The only other high-end universal I've tried is the SE530, and I feel that the TF10 is comprehensively better once you get a good fit for yourself. This usually needs to be done just once, but takes a bit of time and experimentation with the TF10. With the Shure and Westone IEM's, you can just pop them in and you're good to go.

this is completely...off. The TF10 should be compared to the UM3X or W3 from Westone, not the UM1. Despite the UM1 being very good, the sound quality doesn't compare to the TF10. Comfort and fit wise, i would have to give it to the UM1 though.

at last here in germany the tf10 (250€) will cost almost as much as the um2 (265€). the um3 will be much more expensive (400€) and the um1 will cost "only" 100€.

when comparing what you will get for your buck only a comparsion of the um2 and tf10 wul make any sense, but this may shift in other countries.
