SS discrete Amp recommendations $1000 for CD3000 & HD600

I'm considering pulling the trigger on a headamp GS-1 to use with my CD3000 and HD600. I was wondering if there are any other amps I should consider in the $1000 price range. Only solid state, preferably all discrete amp. I'll consider an opamp based design if it will compete with something like a GS-1 and cost <= $1000.

I have the KICAS Caliente, love it. Upgradetis has hit so hoping for something that would better the Caliente's performance.

Recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks.

For folks that have heard the glite and GS-1:

is a GLite+DPS ~= GS-1 ? or is the GS-1 still better ?

i know DPS is discontinued but I may be able to buy one used.

I would say that you also need to look into a bare bones 2 or 3 channel beta 22. The three channel can be built for about $7-800 DIY, but I don't know if you could get it commissioned below $1k.

I´ve kicas too, and recomend rudistor rpx33.

I have/had two M³'s, one built by MisterX and the other by Stephen from Rockhopper, Mini³, y1 and I had Gilmore Lite, Gilmore Dynamic and Pico. I can assure you that those DIY products are on the same level of build quality, craftsmanship or whatever you call of HeadAmps.

people seem to have a love or hate view about Rudistor

Also isnt the rpx33 like $1600 or so. Maybe a used one for $1000 but I haven't seen to many. Also I'd like to buy a US product if possible.

Including a Rockhopper-Built B22 w/S11 for $1200 & in CA. So maybe You could work something out?
