As others mentioned, a good and easy introduction for you to Jazz is PAT METHENY. Yes, look for the SECRET STORY and may be LETTERS FROM HOME or THE ROAD TO YOU... Also, Al Di MEola is very melodic, but he has many different works, some are not that easy at first... I would try KISS MY AXE though, that is awsome!
