What are people's opinion on the iTunes 9 sound quality with EQ turned off?
Are people noticing a change compared to iTunes 8 in the sound signature?
Although it's subjective, I'm noticing a slight emphasis in the bass and low-mids and have had to turn on the EQ and have a graduated rollback of the 125/250 Hz range by a few decibels. The clarity doesn't quite seem to be as good and the bass less refined.
But perhaps it's just me...
I use iTunes with 256kAAC or better (e.g. lossless) and a 3Move DAC + SE530.
