The GS 1 has RCA (unbalanced) output. Active monitors are usually balanced with XLR or TRS inputs the reason I recommended the GSX.

But I did some googling on the Mackie HR 626. I stand corrected, it does accept unbalanced RCA inputs. Mackie - HR626

I can indeed confirm that the Trafomatic Head One is an excellent choice. It is beautiful and extremely versatile. It has a sub out in case you decide to add an active subwoofer. In addition, it is a great headphone amp, especially for lower impedance phones. I prefer it to the Mapletree when driving Grados. In a more recent comparison, it fared well against the Moth EC2A3, losing out only on impact, but edging it out in detail.

If you're happy to build or commission someone to build for you a B22 would make a damn nice headphone/preamp for your studio.
