Shanny was shagging Janney's wife.

I guess I'll keep an eye out for this Janney character...
Dale Hunter, although I tend to remember him for his cheap shot on Pierre Turgeon after Turgeon had just scored.

Craig Janney retired about 10 years ago and was more of a skilled (soft) player than either Hunter or Avery. Janney was more of a jerk all the time to everybody rather than being more selective or a pain to the other team.
He played up in Canada for the Winnipeg Jets and he was a real cancer and divisive person on the team. Championship teams tend to have that elusive thing called chemistry and that was the opposite of Janney.

How does that saying go, happy to see him, happier to see him go.

You are totally right and I stand corrected. In my defense I was posting while paying attention to all the World Cup qualifying games going on and got distracted. (The Paddies were ROBBED)

As it was Dale Hunter, it wouldn't surprise me if there was a similar incident involving Lafontaine that no longer gets noticed due to the lack of an injury.

Also, I get both confused sometimes myself, somewhat rare to have two major star players get traded between two teams in the same state.

maybe if the blue convince janney to go to the canucks instead of jeff brown. maybe they have a better chance? i meant going deeper into the playoffs

Shh...we probably wouldn't have made the 1994 finals without Jeff Brown. However, I suppose Brown did cause a bit of a problem later on when he slept with Kirk McLean's wife.

yea, i guess captain kirk is one of the few who wishes this trade never happened.

a question, i've been away from hockey for a while. when did the nhl switch the home jersey to dark color and road to light?

After the lockout

I'm so glad the NHL is back, the olympics were fun and all, but hockey's a team sport, and they do so much better with players they're used to.

Looks like my Blackhawks are a strong contender for the Stanley cup with year. Just 19 more games and we've clinched the playoff spot!
