Hey Mal, another Torontonian (actually, Mississauga - born, grew up and spent most of my life in TO) here with the RS1i.  Welcome to the Club!

There's a Toronto HeadFi meet next week but you're probably too late.  Looks like we're at capacity.  There's one every year or so. Keep your eyes open for them.

re CAM.. there's a guy selling an RS1i and Little Dot tube amp for $650.  Been there for a while and I'm surprised it hasn't sold.

Anyway, welcome and enjoy! Great crowd here!

Oh no worries there Stacker. I'll be stickin' with the Grado threads only. Even though I also own a newer made Senn HD600, the Grado brand is still #1 in my books. I do however love the 600 as well though. Such sweet tonality!!

Hey Whirlwind, our brains don't age nearly as fast as our bodies so we can still act like kids when we are old and grey, at the risk of any embarrassment of course!!

Oh by the way Stacker, when you welcomed me to the darkside did you mean due to the money that this hobby can set us back? Haha.

Remember, at 50 your back peters out, and 60 and older your peter backs out!!

Thank-you muchly MickeyVee.

I've been wondering if there was any HeadFi meets here in Toronto so now I know. Glad to know another RS1i guy in the vicinity. Let's keep in touch.

And yeah I've noticed that posting for the RS1i. I figure it would fly at the price. Maybe the condition of one or both items is not so decent?

Hey RS1ers, have any of you had yours recabled? No problems with mine, mostly just curiosity.

I'm usually a cable freak.  For some reason, I have no desire to re-cable mine and from what I've read, the cable is of high quality.

I have no desire either to recable gents. I really don't think there would be a sound quality difference if I did as the Grado cable is supposed to be very high quality. I only wish it wasn't so unwieldy as it does tend to pull down on the phones and I also feel that it could be thinner and not so prone to twisting. Thoughts?
