Congrats on your new amp.

I was just blown away by the Preservation Hall Jazz Band's performance on NPR's Tiny Desk Concert series. The RS1i really shines with this recording. Charlie's vocals sound wonderful and the piano really stands out.

Yes, that sounds very nice.

I must say , the RS1i really does impress me, pretty much every day.

I am not sure that I will ever find another headphone that gives me this much joy.

Has anybody seen the WA6-SE up for auction on eBay? It's probably way too much amp for my not so power hungry RS1i's. The seller says that it drives his Audeze LCD-3's with ease. I was just wondering if it was a head fi'er who was the seller.

Be sure to look here in the B/S/T forums...every once in awhile one will be listed here....you could also ask the seller if he is a member here.

Thanks hsubox for your unbiased recommendation and encouragement. This is a whole new level of hp addiction for me. I was contemplating maybe a $30.00 CMOY or a used Grado RA-1 until I could audition some suitable tube amps, but the idea of a totally awesome high-end audiophile hp amp kinda hit me over the head. I gotta remember where I buried that coffee can in the back yard.

Not to rain on your parade, but if you're interested in some excellent synergy with a tube amp, you should check out the Little Dot 1+. Much better than a cMoy, not to mention it accepts several kinds of tubes and lets you roll opamps! For under $200!

JoeDoe, your not raining on my parade because it's St. Patricks Day weekend and we'll be marching tomorrow rain or shine. Lol. Seriously, the Little Dot 1+ looks like a good option, and I'm not going to ignore the learned members of head-fi who extoll the virtues of the Mad Ear+HD's synergy with the RS1i's. It's hard for me to moderate my excitement for my newly found hobby with my need to increase my knowledge base.

RS1i + Vali = Sweet! I've often gone Mac/iTunes/Adirvana+ > Dragonfly > Vali > RS1i and it is intoxicating.
