this was from the head-fi facebook group page :

A $12,000 headphone system? We take a look at the Cavalli Audio Liquid Gold amp with the Abyss AB-1266 planar magnetic headphones--an awesome system--on Head-Fi TV.

Hi Everyone,
I'm new here and have been reading, reading, and reading all I can. I have loved this thread I haven't seen anything to make me not want these phones. I own the 80i's, love them very much and of all the other Grado's I am drawn to the RS1's above all others.

Now I need to save some cash as I've already decided on the MAD Ear +HD for my amp. How exciting is that!

Now for some patience while I save. This thread has been a great read guys thank you!

Please keep your eye on me and stay in touch.
Thanks...
Ron

That is pretty dang exciting.

You will be in for some great times with that combo.

Sounds like to have been doing some researching.

If you love the 80's and just want a "hi-fi" version, the rs1 will satisfy and more!

Whirlwind I've read all your posts and everyone else's carefully and it was an easy decision. I'm even thinking on selling some of my least used gear to get there.

Great times! Man I sure could enjoy that. I'm pretty excited about it. biggrin.gif

Thanks!

Jaywillin I've been reading your posts as well and have to say it's been fun.

I am excited. I need to contact MAD and see how this express shipping works. I haven't bought from CA yet.
Man that amp looks beautiful! I'm gonna be lying down listening a lot I think...

Wish I had cash left from the holidays but keeping my fingers crossed tax time is coming.

Ferday,
This is what fascinates me. The 80's sound beautiful I cannot imagine the RS1i's at six times the price! It has to be like a dream! How they get there is what I want to experience. It's worth it I think based on what I've read here!
