Grado RS1i Impressions thread - Page 69

Thanks. I've got 2 coats on it and they're really smooth, nice-n-shiny! I'll give up on the mutiple coats. Will post pics on the weekend.

Surprising? Exhilarating and eargasmic! The bass extension, musicality, the depth of the soundstage is incredible.

Did you always have the RS's or did you recently get them?

Glad that you are already enjoying the WA6 with the S/P and 6EW7's…and its not even burned-in yet,  just wait,  it only sounds better, and better. I can actually say that my WA6 has gotten a more 3-D/layered sound in the last couple of weeks, and I'm probably approaching 150+hrs on it by now.

Good luck with everything!

Sweet! Enjoy! I know you will. (mine is still breaking in)

Thank you Joseph. I got the RS1i's about six weeks ago. Maybe I'm now hearing what the Grado's can actually do when properly driven? Really, my head is spinning just trying to take in all the new sounds.

Talking about let the tube rolling begin…it never ends!!! I promised myself I wouldn't buy anymore tubes for awhile, yeah right!

I just purchased a 1960's NOS/NIB Phillips Miniwatt GZ34, can't wait to hear it!

Since I never even tried the stock rectifier tube, when you try the S/P, let me know what you think about their differences in their sound signatures. Thanks.
