New iPod Touch, Nano, and Classic released - Page 3

Since the new ipod nano is out, im thinking of getting one.
Im using amp3 + tf10 pro now and im quite happy with it except for the appearance..

So i was wondering would the sq be better if i use the amp3 as an amp for ipn or should i just stick to the status quo?

thx

the only good news today from apple was the pricing, will mean others will have to bring their pricing inline, ahem sony.

Anybody know what DAC the nano is using? Compared to older versions?
I thought the nano would at least hit 32gb, since it's evolution seemed to be directiong us this way. Camera, no prob, same capacity, blah!!!!

As for the Touch 32/64, I wonder if, when a disassembley is performed, the DAC has been reverted to a Wolfson. THAT would make me buy it.

Ditto on the capacity issue. Even USB thumb drives can hit over a 128 GB, so a 32/64 GB Nano shouldn't be an issue, could it be more cost effective to use a camera instead of more flash memory? I wouldn't think so. I could be wrong though.

its another signal that the nano is a fashion accesory more then a actual dap,

and dont forget, the worst shuffle ever now has color (i would have preferd bottons :P)

Well, for all the other manufactures in the DAP game, this could be their big opening to slip in and offer something competitive, this could be the slip up that Apple needed to make to lose ground. I don't think they will be debunked, but they could lose market share.

I like how there's a 64 GB iTouch, but the 6 video life is still way underwhelming. If they had bumped the battery life to, say, 10 hours, I could then maybe justifying plopping down $400 for one. With it as is, it's $130 too much and 4-5 hours too short on battery life.

if the fm tuner is in the headphones, does this mean an amp like the Fiios or such would effect (affect?) the reception?

I'm disappointed with today's iPod "updates." I like the 64GB Touch, but there's not much difference compared to the current Touch, and $399 is just too expensive for me. And no OLED screen (kind of expected that since the iPhone 3GS update). Looks like I will not be upgrading my iPod Touch or Classic this year.

I pre-ordered the Zune HD 32GB this afternoon. The Zune HD uses the Wolfson DAC, right? At least it focuses on sound quality, and I think the OLED screen will look great.

the classic goes BACK to 160gb, disappointing.

The nano now reminds me of one of those cheap chinese mp4 players. They've turned into another device with a whole bunch of extraneous non-sense on them. That stupid shaking/shuffle feature, a camera... What's next? A thermometer, maybe? Something to measure your inner chi levels?

A ho-hum of an Apple event.
