Best headphones for listening to jazz vocalists?? - Page 4

Hey guys, sorry to be wishy-washy here, but when I started this thread way back when the 555's and 558's were going for a little over $100 shipped. Now, I can't find the 558 for hardly less than $175, and this is the model I would seek after reading the reviews regarding the difference in soundstage.

 

Would you guys still reckon that the Senns are still a good deal with this steep of a price increase? Or would you say the difference isn't worth it when I could get the K240 or k271 for about $125, which is much closer to what I would like to spend.

Anybody? I would like to order these today, and I cannot locate any local stores to test these headphones myself? Main questions right now are:

1) are the hd558's $50 better than the k240 or k271

And

2) is the k271 or k240 better for listening to jazz and vocalists? (Isolation is not needed)

1. I don't think so.

 

2. I prefer the 240 if you don't need isolation.
