-A Perfect Circle's "The Hollow"... I've been using this is as my standard track for a very long time, going back about 10 years to when I was building custom stereos in my parent's basement and decking out the stereo in my VW Golf (tastefully!).

-Mussorgsky's "Hut of Baba Yaga" (from Pictures at an Exhibition)... just awesome. The attack, the variations from intense to suspenseful, love it. I'll usually let this go right into the big Great Gate finale as well for that huge gong hit.

-Mayonaise or Soma or really any random song from Smashing Pumpkins Siamese dream, simple because I know every single nuance. Its always fun to experience those little things in new ways.

Top 3 ?

1. Death - 1000 Eyes to test bass speed and quantity, as well as distorted guitar reproduction.
2. E,L &P - Tarkus, in 20 minutes there's everything to test : synths, drums, vocals, bass.
3. Beethoven's 5th, first movement for soundstage and dynamics.

It depends on what you mean by 'demoing'. If you mean showing off my headphones to others, it would be:

Bright Eyes - Land Locked Blues
Kenny Wayne Shepherd - Blue on Black
Shiny Toy Guns - Le Disko

If you mean which are the top three I use to evaluate headphones it would be:

Bob Dylan - Summer Days
Langhorne Slim - Loretta Lee Jones
Norah Jones - Feelin' the Same Way

Tool-The Grudge, because I know it so well and the sound quality on my SACD rip is amazing.
Pink Floyd-Speak to Me/Breathe, Again, I know it quite well, and know what to look for in the song. Plus, I have an absolute reference-quality rip of the album.
Radiohead-Airbag, the song is so chaotic, really a great way to test speed and faithful recreation of distortion, and from another album that I have a really great rip of.

the full length remastered edition of this: Amazon.com: Enter the Dragon: Lalo Schifrin: Music

chinese percs, funky bass and beats, whining synths, super wide soundstage...best benchmark I've found so far.

tracks 2/3/6(track 6 is not on the 10 tracks version)

Too easy.

Earth - Ouroboros is Broken/Coda Maestoso in F (Flat) Minor (Live Europe 2006)
Sunn O))) - Alice (Monoliths and Dimensions)
Weedeater - God Luck & Good Speed (God Luck & Good Speed)

If my head explodes after testing those three out... It means they're gooooooood.

Excellent choices for bass response and face-melting ability.
