Maybe I'm a dinosaur, but I listen to CDs. I want to buy a HeadRoom amp, but they don't seem to make a non-portable headphone amp with RCA inputs that doesn't have a DAC. The CD player I am using reportedly has a fairly high-quality Wolfson DAC, and so I'm not sure I need to pay for digital processing. I understand that the Desktop is no longer made without the DAC, so does that leave me having to buy an RCA to mini connector to use a non-portable HeadRoom amp (or buy used)? For some reason, the RCA to mini option seems less than ideal to me, but maybe that's where I'm wrong? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
