nutshell: they are not dynamically compressed, not sure about the noise reduction that killed let it be naked

Well I can say that was one of the better music reviews I have read. I love the attention to the sound quality for sure. Gotta appreciate that the reviewer was able to highlight the non compression, especially with comments regarding guitar tone and air breathing between instruments.

Thanks for posting. Interesting read. Some others have expressed increased volume. Waiting for mono reviews.

If this is in reference to the stereo set then it's wrong. The guys at Abbey Road who worked on the project have already said in numerous interviews that there is a little bit of compression in the stereo set. There is none in the mono set.

Whether it makes a difference to the typical listener is something that can be debated.
