Thanks Sceptre, good suggestions. I'll confirm once I've seen the room, but I reckon you're probably spot on about the sockets.

Gosh that kit list looks amazing :| Stuff like the GS1000, HD800, Stax O2, PS1, K1000, K701, ESW10, D5000 and D7000 just want me to go to this meet. But I fear I might get a little rant from my parents if I even ask. (It's happened) Well just under 2 months to go, I'll see and hope.

Yeah it's looking great isn't it . Hope to see you there somehow. What's their beef? Strange adults geeking out over headphones in a Manchester hotel...hmmm I see their point

Not scary at all. Especially how there's 28 adults and 1 boy

I'm back in the UK now so I'll get to booking up my room.

This has the potential to be a great success which can be built on over the next years towards an event on a similar scale to a Canjam/Headfest.

Looking forward to putting faces to names.

I got my MiniMax yesterday

I won't be bringing a DAC, I don't have the money to buy one anytime soon

Guest list could work, although to be fair we would also have to get down partners and tagger-alongs

I have already booked my brother to be my taxi and he will not know if he can be bothered hanging around until the actual day

Yes I think we'll need to be flexible with partners/friends of people who register on this thread.

Though I'd drop by and sah 'hello' again, nice to see the meet and thread is growing.
I will be bringing along a buddy from Manchester (I'll see if he will register on the site, but he's just moved house so his wallet is well emptied) so I'll not need a hotel for the night. I can't borrow the car on a Sat. which is a major PITA but somethings I can't change, so I'll be on the train - trying to think want would be best to bring?
In my bag so far :-

HD650
HF-2
Ibasso P3
Bravo Tube AMP
Itouch/Ipods/SanzaFuze
Lappy
Bose Quiet Comfort (for the train journey, honest!)
Sense of Humour!
and many thousands of Zappa shows :-)

Look forward to seeing you all in Manchester.

Cheers BigTony.

I've ordered a load of cheap lanyards from Hong Kong and 100 cheap business cards with the Headfi logo from Poland. God bless ebay and it's ability to supply cheap shi....stuff. I figure we can all mince around the meet with our names hanging from our necks if we so wish...plus it ties in with the security malarky we've been discussing.

Now as long as we don't have to speak all corporate there shall be no blue sky thinking and all that

Used to work for GE...brings back bad memories!

P.S Will you be doing some sort of spreadsheet for the wife to use at the door?

Yup no problem, I'll fill in the names of expected people on the cards as well so there's as little to do on the day as possible.
