I'll bring along my music server hdd, with my lappy (or maybe my netbook as it smaller and lighter) - be handy for anyone wanting to brush up on their Zappa.

Great, i'll nick some coal as the train passes through Leeds - we should have no trouble getting water in Manchester

Of course, London folk will think its one of those fancy coffee machines!

I shall have a Cyrus DVD7+Q to play those roundy things. Does anyone have the handle that I need to wind it up with?

Well the hotel lady said I could have access to the room as early as I wanted...ie...3am if I were mad enough. So I think that suggests you can turn up any time you want. The tables *should* be in place the night before, although this depends on how busy they are.

Hi all,

I will be getting to the hotel sometime Friday evening so will probably have a meal and a couple of the beers in the hotel bar. Not too many though, ended up with a Saturday morning hangover and missed breakfast at the last event.... Would like to be up bright and early this time!

Anyways, looking forward to this. See you there!

Cheers.

Yep I think probably a couple of drinks in the hotel on Friday is a good idea as I'd also like to be up early & fresh-faced. I've just come down with the pig flu though so I hope it's sorted in time!

Hello people. Pleased to have booked my ticket and room. I'm staying at The Garden Hotel Manchester Piccadilly (12 minute walk). I'm travelling from Bristol Temple Meads leaving at 7am Saturday arriving at 10am. Hopefully I won't be too late.

I need some advice on my equipment. Since I'm travelling by train (there are two of us), should I aim to bring all my equipment?

As follows :
Source - Laptop + External Harddrive + Squeezebox 3 + custom S11 power supply unit.
DAC - Benchmark DAC1
Amplifier - Beta22 4ch w/ JT Attenuator + dual S22 PSU
Power - Tacima CS929
Headphones - HD600 balanced 4pin XLR

As you can see, quite a fair bit of equipment. I can carry the amp by hand it isn't much of a problem but it gets quite complicated with the headphones, DAC, SB3, S11 PSU, power strip. Laptop + harddrive goes in the backpack.

Should I bring only my amp? Should I come empty handed? Should I try to bring most of my stuff? I dunno, there's so much equipment up there already.

More importantly, does anyone want to listen to what I have?

Let me know, WHAT SHOULD I DO?!

Can't wait.
