I can vouch for Ste. I have known him for over 13 years and he has far more expensive kit than me.

I also have a profile on The Art of Sound.

Thanks, very much appreciated. I will bring my Lehmann BCL and HD600s. Will link the BCL to apmusson's dac - should be a reasonably good rig in its own right, plus the multiple outs might be useful for comparing different 'phones.

Just a thought. I knwo its set for a 9am start - but I assume thats the time the room is booked from, do we plan to have setting up time first?
I really must look at the train timetable too.

I'm paying a visit to the hotel on Monday so I'll make sure this is on the agenda. Cheers.

Wow good effort. I'd electrocute myself if I tried doing something like that. Dunno about anyone else, but I'll be bringing a load of CDs for listening on other systems. Always best to hear stuff with which you're familiar I reckon. I'll also have a laptop full of music & a wireless router for feeding to my SB3. I won't have a CD source in my rig, but I can either rip people's CDs to my laptop to play via my gear, or people can demo my rig with their source if they prefer.

If there are a number of amps then I can indeed bring the Dacmagic. Forgive me but I cannot be bothered disconnecting and carrying my home stereo amp as it is quite hefty

Anyone bringing recabled HD600's? Would like to hear the fuss

LFC you are welcome to try my moon audio blue dragon cable on your HD600.

I can just imagine someone wheeling in a wall sized CD rack of stuff :P

I'm still working out money for this and it doesn't look good. I have some friends who want to meet up sometime this winter; I have a holiday at Center Parcs to go on, then of course Christmas which sucks money. Normally that wouldn't mean anything to me, but I still don't have a job, so another few hundred is an impact.
However, if there's no real deadline for this I'm not off the list until the fat lady sings (hopefully not opera). If numbers rise too sharply then I don't mind stepping out of the way on that basis.

Am I "eligible"?
By then my little dot mk iv should have arrived, and my new dac whatever that turns out to be...
Cheers,
