Sorry, but you asked me another direct question that I wasn't able to get back to you on in a timely manner.
I've been on vacation and deprived of the internet. So...Unfortunately I can't really help you out much on your choices. I like the sound of the Zune over the Ipod because IMO it just sounds fuller, like there is more heft there. To me, the Ipod sounds thinner, even nasal at times. So I would prefer the Zune no matter the Genre.
As for the IEM's I really can't help you much with the ones you've selected as I haven't heard either, and I don't comment on what I haven't heard. I'm very new at this as well. The only thing I can tell you is that when I was searching for good IEM's I almost bought the UM3X. From what I read I thought they were the ones for me. However, somewhere along the line I decided to go with full size instead. I have since bought a pair of Yuin PK1's. They are buds not IEM's, but their sound equals or surpasses my full size cans. Very surprising & impressive! They sound a bit thin though if not properly amped, but by no means bad. You can tell the difference though.
