I'm just going to try to get used to them and deal with it for the time being. If I could have a vent drilled, maybe that'd do the trick. I'm sure as hell not going to try to make it, though.

I don't notice a vacuum seal anymore on day 2.. Seems like I lost it and can't press it in for the feeling anymore, yet still feels like there's a perfect seal. Odd. Even without a proper left seal though they sound great :) Finally can clearly tell the difference between sources (Samsung Stratosphere vs ASUS Xonar DG > E9). Guess I'm going to get a 32gb Nano if they end up making one + an amp/dac now.
Still can hardly notice a difference, if any, between 320kbps and FLAC.

That's quite fine. With most mid-to-upper-mid-fi rigs it's almost impossible to tell between 320 Kbps and 16/48 FLAC and in almost all cases don't listen if someone tells you otherwise.
post #3424 of 36758/20/12 at 8:08pmI just got my UE TF10 reshells back from UM Australia. I had an extra driver added to them as well and am extremely impressed with them. All in, it took about 4 weeks for the entire process. The Pre sales guys were extremely helpful and informative. I can highly recommend UM Aus to anyone needing reshells.
Cheers
Rich

anybody got a FR chart for that one. It occurs to me it's probably a TWFK + Dynamic = delicious. = could maybe give them UE200 + IE8 and get it done cheaper?
or UE200 + money and ask for TWFK + dynamic. (and they might say no)
In any case - very hypothetically curious about the levels of sub-bass, mid-bass/treble compared to the CI + TWFK 3 way 3 driver, and to the Merlins.

Dahaka search for the hearing aid companies. Btw that name is reminiscent of kakolukia.

Are they good then? Hoping to get a perfect fit first time. I didn't really like the sands of time, but Warrior Within was a brilliant game.

Anyone know the difference between the recessed, flush, and extruding socket options for reshells and upgrades?

Most IEM companies only offer flush. With a company that does offer recessed, I would choose recessed, although UE makes some very good protruding sockets which work well with their cable. Unique Melody makes some very nice recessed sockets and they fit nice and snug, I must say their build quality is quite frankly perfect.

Sounds good, will go with the recessed sockets. That blue/azure colour looks amazing, thinking of doing that with the TF10s I'll be sending in, along with an additional driver, once the Westone mic cable gets back in stock.

My order's been 3 weeks so far. Can't wait! I think I should be getting them back in 2-3 weeks time, although I'm trying not to bother them. Turn around time is generally 3 weeks + shipping for a reshell, so I'm expecting about 6 ish since I got an extra diver too. I might ask for an update next week. I sent in a messy order, Lavender faceplate + Azure tip on Left, HD art + Titanium Faceplate right + Grey tip, clear bodies on both. Blue looks great but I like purple too.. so I got both. HA. I hope I don't annoy the lab technicians too much.

I just received my left piece today and it fits much better than the right.. so looks like I will be getting new impressions and sending my right ear back. $120 for shipping so far.. Turns out pressing on the impression material while it cured on the external part of the ear gave me a much better fit.

My left side fits worse than my right side, but I added a bit of Sugru to the tip and reshaped it so I don't need to refit. They seal fine either way so I don't really mind. Refitting is a MASSIVE pain.
Just got my Unique Melody LW3x4 reshell... None of the original drivers (TWFK + CI) appear to be there. Rather it's a Sonion 3300, an unidentified mid driver and a WBFK if I'm not mistaken. I can't see the model numbers on the mid and high drivers unfortunately.
As for sound. The sound is very impressive. Incredible detail across the spectrum, with excellent bass texture. The sound signature is also very neutral, and they're a lot smoother (in the treble) than the original livewires. Overall, I'm very pleased. The only thing I'm lacking is the FR graph and the cleaning tool.
My shoddy camera doesn't do these gems full justice, but a photo:
