Impressions hold for actually less than two months depending on how humid the area is. Impressions tend to shrink within two weeks if you're in a rather humid environment, and can last up to 6 weeks if in a cool and dry environment. I usually through in a pack of silica gel in shipping to prevent the impression from shipping in what ever country it's going to. Usually it's more humid than here in Vancouver.

sir MaoDi,

UM/Sir Sam has yet to answer my e-mail... Will wait again for another week. = )
Will the SSF5Pro and Shure SE210 mix well? +3way crossover?

It's unfortunate it takes so long for them to reply. But trust me, it's worth the wait =)

That doesn't sound like such a bad combo actually. Since the signature of the SF5 is more to the high frequency side, with a dedicated low driver. Add a driver from shure that has that magical mids shouldn't be too bad. I'm sure UM will test a three way crossover that works well with the three drivers.

Haha! I love my UM1s enough to reshell them without drivers!
Might be my final IEMs!

Finally got an email back from Sam....if I can find an affordable enough place to get my impressions done (I'm sorry, I just DON'T think 10 minutes of someone's time is worth $50) I'll be getting my SuperFi. 3 s reshelled as a single driver for wearing to the gym, etc.

Does anyone know if they can reshell the Apple IEMs? I like the sound of those and they're already dual driver.
