haha yeah, I took appropriate precautions mate... no offence mind wink.gif

Wildcard mate - no problem - will do smily_headphones1.gif

If the colours come back the way I asked (tweaked) then I'll send them to Sleek and do a oriental porcelain effect on one and a Kung Fu Panda style oriental gilt effect on the other. But if not I'll leave them plain. God it's exciting. Haha that sounds pathetic I know, but that's me.

Gear mentioned in this thread:

No it's not you we all get that way. I have my UE11 in for a refit. My TWAG cable getting the over mold done to it and I am waiting for a new amp that I just bought if it's one thing I understand it's anticipation.

What does that mean? Do they do something with the cable/connector that looks different than all the other customs?

They do an artwork service on customs from other manufacturers mate. See here:

They do artwork on any custom regardless if their own or another company for a price and they supposedly have gotten pretty good results.

This was what I was planning a good while back...

Then my son insists on some Kung Fu Panda. As he sits on my knee doing little Kung Fu kicks, I notice the artwork on the screen, and now I'm thinking my dragons might look good as a gold line drawing on an opulent red (like "The Dragon Scroll" for fans of the film).

I'm now in no hurry to order cos I want to get the artwork right... and it could take ages!

got mine last thursday and had to resend it back to UM the next day as the left ear bass was not working/connected (Ultimate ears super 5 eb)

and now they have some sort of holiday over in china...... frown.gif but i have asked to them make it a little more flush to the ear as they kinda stuck out a little and i wanted them to fit under my motorbike helmet

but i have to admit the quality was spot on, i have to wait another month or so till it comes back..... im hoping they will add free artwork as it is a pain to wait a month and just have it for less then 24 hours and to be sent back

they were quite quick to respond back to my problem but not really responding to my request for a free artwork as i had to resend it back

am i asking too much though??

Yes, asking for free artwork seem ridiculous imho. They have no reason to comply with your request.

well, mine's a second hand set. I did try out the monitors when I got them to hear if the drivers are good. not sure if I can compared the before and after. I feel that the tremble is abit higher than I last tried. I give it a few days more to see it goes. drum isn't as thumpy as my um3x but goes lower, spectrum wise is wider, higher resonance. they are more "sharp" compared to my um3x.I enjoyed them more on jazz, live recordings, alternative rock, slow rock, r&b/rap. not so much with pop, chinese oldies, country. but they are still better than my um3x, technically.

PS: are customs supposed to be very snug fit like clay paste on your ear or comfortable fit to the ears? my left is more snug fit, right side slides in and out quite easily. (my left ear mould were taken out first, after 2 mins then right.)
