RIP, Mr. Kunzel. That's very sad. I enjoyed his music thoroughly and own quite a few CDs of his.

His recording of the 1812 Overture was one of the first classical CDs that I bought. Who could resist a version of the 1812 that had a warning "Caution! Digital Cannons"?

Yes, a true loss. Many enjoyable moments have been had with recordings of his work.
