HR Total AirHead Warm Sounding?

Thread Starter
Sorry for the constant posts, but I really need to know.

I have a 2nd gen iTouch with Phonak PFE's using black filters and Comply tips. It seems as though the phonaks need a little more "push" than the iPod can deliver.
i was thinking of a Nuforce Icon mobile but many have suggested that the nuforce is on the bright side and i prefer a warmer richer sound to a point.

So the question is would the AH be a better choice?

P.S. I dont care about the DAC.

Can't speak to the Nuforce,
but I'm listening to a Total Bithead right now on my desktop system,
and I'd say it is on the warm side of neutral.

(It's also a terrific bargain -- the modern Dynaco or Hafler.)

Have fun making your choice!

Generally speaking, HeadRoom gear is smooth rather than strident.

I HATE ANY HARSHNESS AT ALL!

FWIW, we don't design it that way (we design for neutral), I think our gear sounds smooth because we use VERY high quality parts, far better than most people use in gear in that price range.

Listening to my Airhead right now and it is a tish warm, but sounds amazing for what it cost. AT phones like my ES7 are a match made in heaven, even the 650s sound pretty good. If you go the airhead rout you wont be disappointed for sure.

Just got mine yesterday and am still burning it in, but it did sound a hair on the warm side, which I like. Solid-seeming piece of gear. Cute as hell too.
