(EXPIRED) Toshiba MK1214GAH HDD - buy.com has it for $114 US & free shipping

Thread Starter
I was on buy.com today (checking my Beatles Box Set order), and noticed that the Toshiba MK1214GAH 1.8" HDD is in stock and back down to a reasonable $114 US with free shipping.

This is the drive I added to my Gigabeat F40 - 8mm thick, dual platter. I believe others have managed to squeeze this into a Zune 30 chassis. Prices on eBay have definitely gone down, but keep in mind that this is new drive from a reputable retailer.

EDIT: Back up to $200. Man, that didn't last long.

It is dual-platter 8mm thick drive, zune 30 will only fit single-platter 5mm thick drive.
Samsung HS12YHA is available on ebay for $130, it is single-platter 5mm thick drive, compatible with all contemporary players, including zune 30, gigabeat x30, slim ipod video and even gigabeat f20 and sony nw-hd5 (with the use of korean zif->ata adapter).

Zune 30 fits 8mm drives if you remove the extra padding on the normal 5mm drive inside it. Swanlee did that to add a 100GB drive to his Zune 30.
