Cannot turn off my SONY Walkman?

last night i noticed something strange about my SONY Walkman (NWZ-A728B to be exact)...i cannot turn it off! usually i press the power off switch for like 2 seconds and i'll see the "POWER OFF" screen for a second then it's off.

well, i still see the "POWER OFF" screen but then it'd be ON again?!

what am i missing? any SONY user with the same problem? more importantly, how did you fix this?

Try reinstalling the firmware.

I don't think reinstalling the firmware will help, worth a try but have you tried resetting the device?

check this image for hte reset button

use a paper clip or pen to hit the reset button in the top left hand corner of the device. This will not delete anything on the player.

Hmm interesting.

You can always try this firmware from sony asia pacific

But I think this is update is so that content transfer works on the series.
