??? Sorry Craig, don't get you....

The delays Anadin faced were pretty much the norm when using
USPS from the US. I always expect 10 business days at least AND
customs fees.

The Pro.2 drives the HD650 and a pair of ALO-modded SR225's to give really, really fine SQ - right up there with my wall-powered stationary rigs. It has also done quite well with HF-2 phones - a really full, harmonically and tonally rich sound with great depth and layering. Most of the time, though, I'm really happy with using either the stock PAA-1 earbuds or one of these Sennheiser earbuds: MX500 or MX660. For every now and then, when my ears just seem to be itching for a fuller, richer sound, the HD650 or either of the Grados mentioned above, plugged directly into the AMP3-Pro.2, using a Grado 1/4"-to-1/8" adapter, will give my ears everything they are hungry for.

OMG after waiting over 2 weeks and travelling halfway around london to collect my AMP3 Pro2 I finally got it home and guess what.

Sound is barely audible even at the max 31, and only the faintest of sound comes from one headphone speaker.

Craig when you read this please give me a PM.

Agreed....

Currently there are changes in Customs that I'm trying to work out. There are also several delays in which make little to no sense!!

Oh well...

Craig,

just got AMP3 PRO2 today. Haven't had a chance to listen to it, I just plugged the charger. Since I haven't found any reference, could you please advise regarding the following questions:

1, how long should be a player charged for 1st time? Just until it's charged, or say overnight (10-12 hours)?

2, if it's more than normal charge time, how many times it's reasonable to charge it for this prolonged time? Say first 3 times?

3, is it always better to use a supplied charger or there's no difference between the charger and using USB port from PC?

Or, is the charger always preferable option and USB charging is to be used only in those unhappy times when the charger is not available?

Thanks a lot.

hi Craig,

Just wanted to say thanks for the help in getting me the PRO2, and I am currently loving it along with Yuin G2A, great combination!

Question - can you plug the USB cable into desktop computer for charging and data? as soon as i plug it into mine it shuts off apparently....

Also, where is that new button i have been hearing about?

I find charging my Pro 1 via the USB to be best. I plug it in overnight and that does the trick. The AC charger didn't seem to work as well in terms of getting a full charge (based on the meter). But for burn-in, you need to use the AC adapter because the Amp3 will play when plugged in to power, but not via USB. I use any old USB cable for PC charging.

Yes, charging and using Windows Explorer for drag and drop loading. It should not shut off, but it should go into the "Writing and Reading/USB Connected" mode (that's what the screen should say).

The new button is a new controller pad on the front, nothing more, I don't believe.

***ANNOUCEMENT***

The Studio has been changed!!! For the better...

We have decided to add a screen to the player. The specs are the same. Because of this, shipping will be in 3 weeks since they need time to add the screen.

One benefit to the Studio is that will be able to drive much higher impedance headphones!!

You may place an order with me since now I have time to increase my original order.

Price is still $349 plus shipping.

contact me at csanborn@whiplashaudio.com

Wow, that's great news, no guess work with the DAP portion of the Studio! I can't wait, but I guess I have to wait 3 more weeks At least I have the AMP3 to listen to in the interim!
