Quaddy what a wonderful comment, there are as yet, I believe , no details on the AMP Studio yet you are able to say it is a totally different product!!

Great news, Craig. Looking forward to this process, a new hi-end amp (with DAP functionality) that is created via HF member feedback.

And also looking forward to the firmware update for the Amp3 Pro 1.

hey thanks!

well AFAIK there is no outboard dac and interchangeable amp modules on the HIS models.

i am loving my amp3 craig, you were right, the sound is maturing with each day of use, i am so glad, at last there are now bonefide audiopgile grade DAPS being offered, we all remember only too well when this was far from reality, look forward to seeing these new models flourish and evolve!

"*A few cosmetic changes. More details to come."

The original design was really cool.... I hope these changes are minor.

Yep very minor. This is what I'm being told so all I can do is relay the message.

Mostly a bit smoother and a change to the buttons. Thats about it..

They are both amps. The Studio is designed to be more amp featured than the Amp3.

From what I have been told, the Studio really takes the portable amp market and adds a new mix; audiophile quality to what is 10x smaller. I can only speculate based on what I have been told and what a few others have mentioned.

So far, everything I have been told is accurate and in some cases far exceeded the statements. The statements are bold and totally attack the portable amp market, especially with the ability to match 300 ohm headphones and have an insane battery life.

Plus watching how this product develops its like watching reality TV..

OMG, its reality music. I like it...

But, no, don't amp both together.

WOW I really should read head-fi more often and not just my subscribed threads! It is fantastic that there are now real audiophile music players. I look forward very much to all the new developments.
Greetings, Anouk,

Quick question about the newer models...

Could someone please demo the newer amp3 or studio with a highly sensitive iem like westone multiple driver or shure multiple driver iems? I would like to know if there is any audible hiss.

Right now my Westone UM2 is only usable with my Tomahawk since all my mp3 players hiss quite badly at the headphone jack. I'd like to be free from having to use an external amp while still using my UM2. Right now that is impossible.

I have no audible hiss with my Chinese modded UE 10s and have had no hiss since sixty hours.

I am sure that feedback regarding hiss will be one of the first posted, once the devices actually get in the hands of the reviewers.
