Amp3 Pro2 and the STUDIO - Page 8

A 120GB+ HDD on the Studio 2 would sell it to most audiophiles (especially those on the sideline like me). I still do not own a portable audio device, but plan on picking up my first one by May 2010 at the latest. I look forward to reading updates. At $159, maybe I will spring for one with the small storage anyways...

I am impressed with what i read !! Real dap with music set as priority ! I like that ! Other dap manufacturers set the standard in bling and that is the main deal !
Classy feel with minimalistic design from aluminium is great but dont like the the black version cos those white buttons look like they were snatched from another player ! Should be black or gray!
I chose silver version !

The best part is....

Sound is the main objective and the Pro2 and Studio bridge the gap for folks to start thinking that a portable rig can really make its way into their arsenal!!

Craig,
I'm just curious, what parts in the coming Studio will be enhanced compared to the Pro, will it be: an enhanced Sigmatel chip or maybe a diff. brand of chip , a more powerfull Class-A amp unit maybe or implementing two seperate units for each l/r signal or maybe something else? Software issues I'm sure will be improved.

how about the leather case for the AMP3? will that be bundled with the Pro2 or studio or sold seperately?

The Amp3 Pro2 is a new model which hisoundaudio should take credit for re-engineering a new model in such a short time.

The new model will support FLAC, 16Gb cards and improved sound.

**THIS IS A PIC OF THE PROTOTYPE**
Its subject to change. I highly doubt it will though.

Hi SACD-Man can you tell me if that player will take memory cards bigger than 16GB ? Also can it record from its FM radio ?

Hey Mark.

Its rated to accept 16GB cards. Larger size can be achieved, however the official spec is 16GB.

Sorry but it can't record from the radio...gotta be honest with you, that is not a bad idea!!

Thx..

First post ever!

I'm glad I finally joined head-fi, I always come here looking for answers and that's how I found this thread about the pro2 and studio 2. Just want to say thanks Craig for taking the time of giving feedback about these beauties. And also I have a question... Do you think we will see a 32+GB model? Like JustBusiness said "A 120GB+ HDD on the Studio 2"? I also don't own a portable audio device yet but the pro2 looks very very nice but I have 40GB of music...

Thanks!

What I plan to do is have a few 16GB cards pre-loaded with music. Maybe I'll split it up by music type. Then switch back and forth depending on mood. They have nice and convenient memory card holders these days and switching cards is a small price to pay. Happy Listening !!! BTW, the Amp3 and Studio are going to rock!!!

Hi Craig thanks for answering my questions,

Can you tell me is the Battery built into the unit or is it Removable ?

Also can it take the non micro SD cards ? I much prefer them as you can get those cards up to 64GBS.
